E: “be-bu”
Mommy: “Yes, you have a belly button.”
E: “mama be-bu”
Mommy: “Mommy has a belly button, too.”
E: “daddy be-bu”
Mommy: “Daddy has a belly button. Everyone has a belly button.”
E: “me be-bu”
We have this conversation often. He seems to need the reassurance that 1. his belly button is still on his tummy and 2. everyone he knows also has a belly button on their tummy. E-Boy won’t even wear zipper jammies at night because he has to be able to touch his belly button. This really limits our wardrobe options. Overalls – out. Onesies – out. Rompers – out. However, if his belly button is that important to him, I am willing to make the necessary sacrifices.

This is such an adorable story.
How cute! Isn’t it so funny how they have those unusual little quirks. My DD rubs things on her nose to feel how soft they are…after we had given our dog a bath we asked her if he was soft and she seriously put her nose on him to see. It was rather funny.
