If you have not yet carved your pumpkin, and are looking for inspiration, here are my pumpkins from last year. I carved a pumpkin for each of my kids with their face on it. And it really wasn’t as hard as it looks.

For each of the kids, I took a picture of them, then fiddled with it in a photo editing program on the computer until it was a black and white image (I think the effect I used was called “stamp”. Then, I printed out the picture in an appropriate size, and carved it just like you would a template from a book or online, by marking the outlines through the paper, then carving out the features.
