Some More Scrappy Sewing

Today, I dug to the bottom of my scrap basket for the “just right” fabrics for these two purses.  When Hubby arrived home and peeked into the sewing room, he exclaimed “what’s all that?!?” at the mess of fabrics laying all over.  It’s amazing how many little scraps fit into my bin, and how enormous they look when they’ve been dug into for a few hours trying to find this or that.  I’m pretty pleased with what I found in there, each purse has a wide variety of prints, with the color being the unifying factor in the design.

They’re newly listed in my Etsy shop, click on the picture to view the listing details.

I LOVE them! Great job. 🙂 I’m so impressed with that you used only scraps. I tire of looking through my big box of scraps. They tend to go to friends for projects of this and that….at least they are being used!

I love these! I was actually spending last night searching for free purse patterns, and I ended up making pot holders instead, because I didn’t find what I was looking for. These are amazing – but then, I don’t know how to quilt… The individual stripes are perfect, it’s quite an adventure to look at these! 🙂

Hi there, the stuff you make is fabulous. Just out of curiosity, what kind of sewing machine and serger do you own. I’m looking to get new of both. I have sewn a bit and am not to concerned about having a machine that does super fancy embroidery stitch work. I’ve been looking at the Bernina’s
